IGATE- GCT placement drive details

Guys , please note down the following with respect to igate campus recruitment drive :

This is only for mechanical students :

Date of event: 4th Nov 2011, Friday at 8:30AM

Salary: 3.1L/A

Candidates MUST meet ALL of the following criteria:

1.       Candidates MUST have 60% and above (from 10th onwards) in academics

2.       Candidates MUST not have any gaps in education

3.       Candidates can have not more than 2 active backlogs (standing arrears) 

Selection Process:

Aptitude test + Technical Interview + HR Interview

Instructions to candidates:

Request you to share the following Instructions with the candidates:

1.       Candidates must carry the following with them to the venue:

a.       One (1) updated copy of your resume

b.      Hard copy of employment application form (Download in the link below)

c.       Black or Blue Ball point pen

d.      Any of the following VALID Photo Identification: College ID card / Driving License / Passport / Voter’s ID Card

2.       During the test, cell phones should be in the switched off mode

3.       No electronic devices to be used for calculation during Aptitude test

4.       There is no negative marking in the Aptitude test

Process on the day of event:

1.       Pre Placement Presentation

2.       Aptitude Test (1 hour)

3.       Correction of Aptitude test paper

4.       Declaration of Aptitude Test results

5.       Technical Interview and HR Interview

6.       Preliminary selected candidates names will be declared on the day of recruitment drive & final list will be out after the papers are reviewed at iGATE Patni Office

TCS online registration- tutorial

 Please remember the last date for online registration for gct is 31/8/2011. So spread the news to all your friends and make sure everyone is registering online. And when you sit online for this registration, do have a passport size pic and resume

1. Goto https://nextstep.tcs.com/
2. Click 2012 Graduates on screen.
3. In case you are getting any error message related to the sites certificate, click cancel again and again
4. Click "create your profile for new users" in the left pane
5. Enter Drive id - DRV0074 ( for UG students) and DRV0073 (for PG students)
6. Click your area of interest ( I selected both)
7. Enter your first name (your name) and last name (your fathers name)
8. Enter your mothers maiden name
9. Enter your date of birth in dd/mm/yy format (eg., 10/08/1990)
10. Enter your gender (it will come by default)
11. Then click on graduate
12. A academic details box will open on screen
13. Select Bachelor off Engineering
14. Enter the duration from (22 july 2008) and to (20 april 2012)
15. Select course type as full time
16. Select your major (eg., mechanical)
17. Enter your cgpa
18. Click save
19. Then enter your 12th 11th and 10th details... see the pic below on how I have filled it.

21. Select "I agree" and click submit
22. You will receive a email immediately after you click submit
23. Note down your CT registration ID. This is very important.
24. Then click view/download registration form.
25. A pdf file will open automatically (In case you get any error message on certificate problems of siite, click cancel on the dialogue box that appears)
26. Let the pdf file be open.
27. Now open your email and check your inbox. You should have got a mail from tcs.
28. Click on the link in your email and enter your username and password given in mail.
29. Change your password. Read the password policy of tcs before giving a new password.
30. Please do write down the new password which you are entering because chances are there that you may forget it :)
31. Now login again with your username (in email ) and password (new password)
32. Now click "Application form" on left pane
33. Then fill the details asked. See the images on how I have done it

34. Then click save and continue
35. In the next page enter your nationality, language details and references ( two people whom you know well with their contact numbers)
36. Click Save and Continue
37. In the next page enter your first name, last name, add your photo and your cv (dont worry if the photo appears distorted, my eyes were blurred in the preview when i uploaded my pic and it doesn't matter )

NOTE:
 Upload your CV in .pdf, .doc Word 97, 98 format/.rtf/.txt.

    Note: Maximum size for uploading the CV is 500KB.

 Upload your photograph in .jpg/.gif/.jpeg/.tiff.

    Note:Maximum size for uploading the photograph is 1MB.

38. After uploading photo and cv, click save and continue

39. Fill the declaration..see image below on how i have done

40. Click Submit

41. Now click "download application form"

42. Take a print out of the pdf file that opens in new tab

43. Click log out and you are done !!
